Dr. Imani Pitman, PhD MSW

Imani Pitman is the Founder and Primary Consultant at IAP Consultants. Imani brings over a decade of nonprofit experience along with her to IAP Consultants. Her experience spans across community engagement, policy advocacy, program implementation and development, and program evaluation and impact reporting. Imani holds a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago - Jane Addams College of Social Work. Her research explored social capital access for African American Chicagoans and reflects her strong dedication to connecting and empowering minoritized populations in Chicago. Outside of IAP Consultants, Imani is an adjunct lecturer at several universities throughout the Chicagoland area. An Oak Park native and current Chicagoan resident, Imani is well-versed in the Chicago nonprofit scene and has strong, longstanding connections to impactful community partners.
